I'm Delaney Mes and this is my food blog. It began in a small Wellington kitchen one cold lonely night, and has seen me cook and eat my way through the various stages of heartbreak - from uncontrollable sobbing, to inappropriate drunken antics, to happiness and embracing singledom. Having always enjoyed cooking and eating, and writing, the blog has also lead to being a guest cook on the Good Morning show.
With no formal cooking qualifications, I don't pretend to know more than anyone else about cooking and food, but inspiration comes from my many years as a waitress, pestering the chefs, pestering my Mum, food enthusiast friends, flatting with a chef and enjoying eating. A lot.
Recipes, reviews and general banter about life, love and all things culinary follows. Slowly but surely food is taking over my life, and one day I'll give up my day job as a lawyer and get over my bitter and cynical attitude towards couples. Enjoy!
